  • and the fact that they're just posting this out in the open, online, for anyone to see (including the police) just tells you what kind of IQ we are dealing with.

  • i used to steal food or clothes becouse i literaly had no money and it was my only option, but it feels so much better to be able to pay for everything

  • I’m arguing with a kid who thinks it’s okay currently... what the hell is wrong with people.

  • It’s now “borrowing” on tiktok. Yikes.

  • Have you been on tumblr lately? Shoplifting is just generally encouraged now it seems. If you say you hate shoplifting, you get mob coming after you

  • 3:57 They stole fkn crystals I’m done. Stealing spiritual shit is a new low. Not to mention the bad karma attached to it. Have fun with pagan deities fucking with you, honey bunny.

  • I don’t steal but I have to say it’s only fucked up to steal from individual people & small businesses. people who steal from large corporations tend to be poor. you must be a republican from a wealthy family

  • I love your shirt!

  • My sister one time accidentally took a chapstick with out paying and then ran inside almost crying and apologizing for stealing it, and the worker lady was just like “chill, it was an accident”

  • I used to be a lil kleptomaniac when I was a kid, but then I made myself stop when I was in middle school. After I snatched someone's crystal bracelet hanging off of their locker I realized the gravity of what I had done and I had no way of giving it back. (I forgot which one it was, and I didn't know who it belonged to). Medication also helps with my impulsivity (I have ADHD) so I just really don't feel the urge or it's easy to resist the temptation like if it were an intrusive thought like when you think about doing something bad for a split second and then think "oh god, why was that in my head?" and then you move on with life.

  • Borrowing

  • I’m so done I was always in those pages😂😂

  • I just gotta say, I've recently started watching your videos and stuff and you seem so much more comfortable in front of the camera now and I'm so happy. :) Still gonna watch these tho.

  • I don't think they care where the items come from, I think they just tell themselves it's better to steal from "big corporations," to make stealing easier for themselves. This is so disgusting no matter how you look at it. That big corporation doesn't owe you a damn thing anyway. Gotta pay like the rest of us.

  • perhaps shoplifting isn't a fixall for depression, but stealing gives people a temporary adrenalyn high. that's why it helps with anxiety and depression. someone who steals regularly may not be aware of it, but they probably use stealing as a way to balance their moods and being that our lives are built around consumption, stealing is always available and requires almost no effort or long term commitment.

  • its not victimless ether ive been fired cause to many stole things on my shift

  • I have this friend who always boasts about how she has stolen (in her words) over £200 worth of makeup. She remember once, someone asked her how she managed to do it without getting caught, and she spent ages telling us how she managed to sneak all the makeup into her bag.

  • That "I'm stealing and now I'm happy" post to me just reinforces the idea that kleptos steal to fill some void in their lives that will never be filled. And it's not about the stuff.

  • I stole a lollipop when I was 13.. I felt horrible, couldn't eat it, gave it to my sister..

  • I remember when I went through a "lifting" phase when I was fucking nine and didnt fully understand the concept of morals.

  • Why Tumblr sucks what more like why Tumblr rocks

  • 🤦‍♀️ all the store has to do is check inventory and look online and that person could be caught (the person who stole from target)

  • I am a kleptomaniac, it’s something I’ve struggled with all my life, I’ve been going to a therapist and getting help with coping mechanisms for my urges, I haven’t stolen anything in years and am very proud of that, I’m not saying this to excuse their actions, I’m just sharing this to get it out there that it’s not something that is necessary, you can suppress these urges with proper professional help, I just hope all the people in this video get the help and support they need :))

  • I really feel you with your eczema. I usually have to be on crutches because I get it on my feet so badly I'm in agony when I walk.

  • lmao this is so ironic this was on my feed considering there is a whole trend on tiktok when it comes to stealing and how people think is okay to only steal from large corporations 🗿

  • I used to shoplift, and I was good. The mall was my hunting ground; belts, t-shirt, food, CDs, jewelry, you name it. Did the whole, "I don't steal from small businesses or people," justification. It was for cheap thrills, but I almost got caught when I was 19, and I realized I was risking a lot for shit I didn't even really want. Risk vs. reward.

  • The only things I steal are pens from teachers I hate lmao

  • I think the only places it is morally ‘ok’ to steal from are big corporations that have done bad things ie. Hobby Lobby (They’re homophobic) or Petco/Petsmart (animal abuse). I think it applies more to the chain Pet stores as in stealing a betta they have in a cup because there would be no money going towards buying another fish to replace it.

    • Honeybee it’s never okay, you are effecting the Lower employees and costing them their jobs.

  • don't steal from anywhere. except hobby lobby.

    • imacheckneck thank you, I’ve had a lot of my friends be fired over theft and the sad part is, if we catch the shoplifting we can’t go after them, but we still get charged for it

    • @Brooklyn R that's... actually a good point. I didn't consider that

    • imacheckneck but yeah, fuck the people who are just trying to earn a decent living. Eat the rich, it’s not like we are stealing from a mom & pop shop so we are doing good

    • imacheckneck you and a lot of people use that excuse and that’s what cost people their jobs. When shit gets stolen guess who has to pay for it? Us, the regular 9-5 who have to lose their bonus, jobs, and paychecks because stupid fucking teenagers wanna steal art supplies which gets us fired. You guys use the homophobia as an excuse but not everyone who works for hobby lobby is homophobic, we just want to work so we can feed our families or make money in a decent way

    • imacheckneck right? But the employees that get fired aren’t?

  • I thought this was going to be body building and was kinda sad then realized it was just shitty people stealing

  • WAIT BEFORE THE VIDEO STARTS: I wanted to point out that your makeup looks STUNNING 🤩

  • They are just doing it for kicks... It's not okay, even if they are kleptomaniacs. Get help, don't damage small buissnes.

  • a lot of these people are probably doing it and saying “fuck capitalism uwu!!” but like you might be putting some employee’s job on the line. when they eventually have to take inventory, there’s gonna be shit missing that //you// stole. and depending on their boss, they could get in serious trouble for that. so you going against this corrupt system may be enforcing it on someone else (hopefully my wording makes sense)

  • I have a friend, who isn't in this community on Tumblr specifically by the way, but used to talk about shoplifting all the time. I don't believe they're doing it anymore, but we were really young when it happened frequently. 14 or 15 I think. They had an absolutely horrible home life, for context, and most of the things they stole were food for their 3 younger siblings. The nonessentials they stole were described as coping mechanisms and gave them an adrenaline rush. So yeah, I KIND of understand where some of these people come from, but I hate the competition aspect of it.

  • The only time stealing is "acceptable", and that's.. not even. Is necessities. Food, pain meds

  • i used to be apart of this community and im so ashamed of myself but i got caught and was arrested :/. Im so happy i was caught though cause i was going down a dangerous path

  • That is some flawed rationalization. I steal to give to the poor women That's the same logic as saying I murder to help give kids new organs to transplant.

  • Lmao this one time I commented on a tik tok that was shoplifting tips and it was disgusting, they made it look “cutesy” and “aesthetic” while promoting shoplifting, I said something like “omg what if you payed tho” And all of these 14-17 year old girls who’s profile pictures was them holding up the forbidden finger defending the girl saying dumb crap like “sorry we aren’t as comfterble a you” “we don’t want to waste 20 dollars on that” and ‘but we don’t wanna pay” and it was hilarious Uh yeah my English sucks but agaakakakajaja

  • they were the best part

  • ok boomer

  • Well, I guess that person would say that everyone's depression is different and is treated/helped with differently. Not excusing them, but to them it could very well be that way... in which case they need to find a different treatment and some therapy... and maybe at least a couple dozen hours of community service for that theft.

  • i'll be honest, I was a kleptomaniac for a looong time. I got the help i needed and am doing really good! I felt like my life was dull, and i got a huge rush when i stole something. I realized that my happiness was not an excuse to steal. Been about 5 years since i stole something. You can do it, it's all about accepting the truth.

  • Dirty thieves need to go down.

  • ok i get that like people are mad about these ppl stealing things??? but can we not at least acknowledge that its an addiction and a coping mechanism (a shitty one im not trying to justify it)? a lot of people who do this as a coping mechanism are depressed and they begin to equate the adrenaline rush of stealing with happiness, they tie their self worth to how clever they can be and getting away with shit gives them a confidence boost. i know im saying “them” a lot but i do speak partially from experience. like, listen. i get it there are so many reasons to be pissed at people who shoplift. they hurt the employees, its unnecessary and stupid whatever but ?? shaming them and calling them stupid and petty isnt going to help people who genuinely use this as a coping mechanism. im not trying to defend them. in a lot of cases shoplifting is petty and unnecessary but we need to stop equating legality to morality and realize that in most cases shaming people doesnt actually do much to help get your point across. i dont know if anyone sees flaws in my reasoning let me know, im happy to re-evaluate if presented with a good argument.

  • Not really my thing to like discussing, other people bragging on stealing. I too have known people over my life that are both kleptomaniacs in regard to it doesn't matter if something is of monetary value in your home,if they want to steak it they will As well as people who are shoplifters from actual retail stores.. I'm not putting anyone down for what they do or have done but I'm not into it myself...Not every video is for everyone lol. Can't make everyone happy all the time...should I do anymore cliche phrases. Oh wait, I agree with people who break the law then post to social media than act confused when they get charged especially after bragging on said social media about how they aren't getting CAUGHT. Some trying to o become mainstream rapper,RichTheKid got in his social media posted a pic of him literally ACTUALLY peeing on a cop car while also verbally describing what he was doing should the video of pee streaming on the police car not to clear enough. He claimed to do this for another less know named rapper who was put out of a hospital where his girl (hesitate to call her wife/girlfriend/?)was being seen for not feeling well. Like most adults do especially in broad daylight which tells me it's day time hours, he brought in a big liquor bottle while filming being obnoxious n then carried on outside recording the security men for making him leave the ER...so I guess to stand in solidarity,RichtheKid reaffirmed his dislike for any law enforcement with his little performance ..now this just recently happened and I have to wonder...in most cases if this could be a criminal charge, the peeing (defacing)a police car; that Rich would probably wonder just who *told* on him when not only are you telling on yourself but you're almost making a wager with prosecutors; "bet you don't see me....wait....no way...you do" Ignorance

  • Eyyy where my lifters at?

  • I dunno, I mean, I had a stealing phase in middle school, but at the time, I had a disconnect between actions and consequences, so you can imagine getting caught by security was not fun. I don't see what's fun about it, though, I just wanted things.

  • Dude I feel hella guilty cause when I was a kid I would sneak toys into my moms purse without her knowing and weed walk out of the toy store and she didn’t pay cause I stole that shit 😂😭

  • company losses affect employee lives. regardless of whether or not it’s a small business. you’re not just harming a faceless corporation you’re harming people who rely on corporate jobs to survive.

  • I have a huge tip for getting way with theft! Basically what I do is I take what I want to an aisle and bribe the cashier with a very specific amount of money. It works every time!

  • If they steal then they aren't honest. I think they are liars and can't be trusted.................

  • I stole a 12 pack of water by accident by not scanning it at self scan and I felt guilty lol and I found out later

  • Why not just show off the stuff u stole and act like you bought it instead of incriminating yourself I don’t steal because im not a disgusting person but if I did I wouldn’t flat out say the stuff I stole lol. Tumblr is the place you go to fulfill your curiosity not something you want to be apart of

  • I'm a kleptomaniac and this makes me sick. It's not a cute habbit or hobby. It's a impulse control disorder.

  • I love to troll these fifteen year old communists.

  • There have always been criminals who brag about their crimes. The only difference now is some of them are doing it online where more people can see.

  • I am a kleptomaniac. Even just today I stole over a hundred dollars worth of makeup from ulta. I know it's bad, I know that it hurts people, but I dont even care anymore. I've figured that the day I get caught is the day I kill myself, and until then nothing matters anymore. It's an addiction, and it wouldnt be the first I've had. Depression is a wild thing, and it brings out the worst in people

  • I only ever stole out of need when I was underage and my parents refused to buy me things like deodorant, a tooth brush, underwear, shoes and school supplies I’m proud as an adult to have not stolen for years, every time I did steal I had so much anxiety I felt like I was having a heart attack. I would argue there IS a moral difference in stealing from a family business or stealing from Walmart. Stealing from a family business can cause them to not be able to pay bills, buy food, or could even force them out of business. Stealing from Walmart is a marginal loss for them. That’s why they have self checkouts. Yes it’s just as illegal but it’s important to at least steal from Walmart or another huge chain if you are going to steal

  • You know the worlds fucked up when I saw this and went "lifting...oh god, what weird fucked up thing is-ohhh, it's just shoplifting, thank god."

  • My brothers have problems with stealing and always tried to make me do it too when I was younger, and it was like I was lame because I didn't want to. I had friends who once wanted to leave a restaurant without paying but they only told me at the end of the meal and I tried to resonate them on how it was a terrible idea, we were in a foreign country and would've been sent back right away, plus it was a restaurant on top of a hotel, so if they saw us leaving they could just call the reception and by the time we'd be downstairs we would've been caught for sure, plus the staff was very nice and we knew it was going to be a bit expensive when we entered and we all had the money, so I didn't see the point. I refused to do it, so of course they couldn't just leave me there, they knew I wouldn't have paid for all of them and they would've been in trouble. They were mad at me for the whole trip just because of that.

  • Your voice is really relaxing😅

  • Oh girl I feel your pain I suffer from psoriasis as well😩

  • I thought it was called "boosting" something I was involved in as a former drug addict... Caught 2 cases like that no more boosting or uhh "lifting"

  • you do realize most of these are role play...right? i’m an active member of the community and abt 90% of it is PRETEND

    • girl you’re dumb if you think teen girls are willing of stealing that much and posting it...

    • no it's not r u dumb

  • there's still shades of grey here. not for sure saying that all these people get off clean (especially when they're glamorizing stealing as opposed to it being for survival) a lot of people steal higher priced items to flip for cash to pay for necessities that they aren't able to steal (ex. medication, rent, power/etc.), and a lot of trans women who aren't able to get employment have to steal make up/other things in order to pass for safety. that's just a small list of the many reasons people shoplift, and most are cognizant enough to steal in the ways that is the most morally correct (e.g. big budget stores, not breaking store property or making a mess for employees to clean up.)

    • last one: don't conflate morality with legality.

    • it's also illegal (in most u.s. states) for employers to expect shop floor employees to prevent shoplifting in any way that would risk their physical health or to have their pay docked due to shrink. doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but know your rights people.

  • It’s a sad addiction , you get off to the rush. Steal just to steal :/

  • If they post evidence of them stealing for bragging rights and don't post evidence of them "donating" the stolen items then they 100% did not donate anything.

  • I agree! Donating to charity is good because you’re making a sacrifice for others. Even if it’s small, your still sacrificing your X dollars for someone else when you could have spent it on yourself. There is nothing to brag about when your giving other people’s money.

  • Your earrings and eye makeup go so well together.

  • I had a major problem with stealing and I got caught when I was 17 and the manager let me go but I am band from the store and I’m great full everyday that she did I have an amazing job and life because of her and I quit stealing

  • It's so stupid. Anyone could get a job and buy this stuff.

  • I thought this was about plastic surgery haha

  • When I was younger I used to steal for a couple years and eventually did get caught. Stealing is wrong and me getting caught finally set me straight. I can’t stand those who steal anymore.

  • I used to be in the lifting community AMA

  • Shop lifting from big corporations is good praxis. If its not because of shop lifters, corporations would come up with other things to pay their workers less. Dont believe all these capitalist lies and brain washing.

  • What makes me mad the most is that I am an artist, and I have to pay a whole ton for my art supplies, while people in these communities just take it, like ?? Not only is it illegal?? It’s not fair and it’s not good for the employees working there? They don’t have to deal with your shit for you “aEsThEtIc aRt hAul hAhHa🤗🤗🤗🤗”

  • When I was younger I was in Bed Bath and Body Works, I saw a chapstick I really liked but didn’t want to ask my mom to buy it so I ripped off the scanner sticker and put it in my pocket. It didn’t take me long before I broke down crying in the car and confessed to my mom what I did 😅

  • As A kleptomaniac, I literally cried watching this. Some people on liftblr don't even have Kleptomania. I literally can't tell you how anger-triggered and upset I got. A Kleptomaniac (for me this is how I feel) Steals what they can whenever. Not Palletes and clothes

  • the only time this can be justified, is if you're homeless and starving. but still,, ehhh.

  • This is infuriating. I got caught shoplifting when I was 18. I am 27 now and it is still chasing me and will continue to follow me and duck up my life. Obviously, it was my fault and my choice. But to glorify this is upsetting. 27 working an entry level position because nobody wants to hire me because of shoplifting shouldnt be glorified. Grrrrrrr.

  • Went through this PHASE when I was a kid. I found out that I was doing it for attention, since mom was super busy in the military and my father was hella abusive. I’m happy that I got myself together before I did some serious damage to myself. If someone is stealing, and it’s not to brag and stuff? Check on them. Are they ok?

  • Honestly if I saw a homeless person or someone who looked down on their luck stealing food, I'd just look the other way. Do what you have to do to live. The least I can do is not snitch when they're just trying to eat. But make up? Clothes? An 80 dollar chain? Fuck right off. You don't need that to live. I want a lot of expensive shoes and video games, but I dont steal them. I save up and buy one pair at a time like a normal person. Sure I'd love to have money or the things I want magically fall in my lap without paying for them, but that's not how life works. (Also the people who fake being homeless to get free shit can go fuck themselves too.)

  • I work in a charity shop and volunteer in another one. We get stuff stolen quite a bit in both shops. Yesterday I was in the shop I volunteer at and noticed someone had stolen some baby clothes. It just made me think of how bad those people must have it. People like this that steal for the hell of it are just scum of the earth! P.s Charity shops might be a British thing, people donate used clothes and other stuff and sell it at a discounted rate the proceeds go to a charity.

  • lmao Robin Hood wannabes

  • I got good at stealing a while back and never got caught but I knew I had to knock it off since it would land me in trouble, now I haven't stolen shit for a few months and I feel proud of myself

  • I'll never understand why ppl are so thirsty for attention and validation from complete strangers that they will snitch on themselves, posting their crimes. Like how do they not realize the cops are constantly on the internet just waiting for idiots like this to tell on themselves for the likes!🤦🏽‍♀️😂 not to mention that stealing unless it's for survival is just fucking ridiculous.

  • I can’t stand thieves.

  • I used to steal when I was younger (like 15 years ago). Not only did I not brag, but I didn’t tell anyone either. I got caught and paid my dues. I used to have the same shitty perspective that these ppl did “it’s not bad bc it’s a corporation” but actually that takes from the employees. I’m glad I’ve changed since then and proud to say I haven’t stolen anything since then and never will again. I’m sorry to everyone affected by my actions as well, wish I knew who they were but I don’t and I’ll have to live with that.

  • That nice Hot Topic employee probably had that stolen stuff taken out of her paycheck.

  • I remeber when I was younger my friends used to steal stuff from k mart at at the time I was 13 and my friends pear pressured me into steal a thong (it was 6$) to make me “cool” and I did but I felt so extremely bad and guilty that I took it back and told the store manager what I did and I cried and she let me keep it (I never wore it I was 13 and impressionable) and told me her life story about been poor and stealing was the only way for her as a kid and she got caught and served time in prison for stealing stuff like deoderent and tooth paste, like actual things you need and all that and I felt so bad and I actually dropped those friends and now im studying law and to this day I never wore it but I kept it. It sounds so stupid but it changed my whole life

  • Love the tattoos You are queen 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

  • The only acceptable stealing imo is when a parent has no money to feed their child. Even then it has to be the LAST resort.

  • I’m an anticapitalist and jesus h christ, I can’t even justify this. In fact, I’ve worked retail jobs before (I know, I know, contradiction-well I wasn’t always an anticapitalist) in fact, I can UN-justify it: as multiple others have pointed out, these thieves (call yourselves “lifters” all you want, Y’ALL THIEVES) are not screwing over the people they think they are when they steal shit from corporate retail stores.

  • What's messed up is the employees get blamed for the theft whether they are the ones stealing or not. It makes their jobs more miserable than they already are. To this day I am still being accused of stealing from a place I worked and I never stole anything. Of course, I got chewed out for being "paranoid" too when I kept bringing up thefts. It's selfish and nasty.

  • Now that I see the comments about how stealings takes away from employees pockets I feel even worse and I want to apologize!! When I was a teen I went to a mall and stole from almost every store, the total came out to 900$ and of course I got caught at the last store. That was the biggest wake up call, even though I only got banned from the mall for 2 years and had to pay a certain amount of money. I got lucky because this could’ve ended in a felony! After that I never even thought about stealing I feel ashamed and guilty till this day. I have no words for what I’ve done and no clue why I’ve done it, there’s no justification for my actions but that mistake has taught me a lot. I’m soo sorry to the employees, corporation and people that were effected by my actions. I WANT OTHERS TO KNOW ITS NOT WORTH IT! YOU COULD END UP WITH A FELONY AND NO ONE WILL WANT TO HIRE YOU. EVERYONE GETS AFFECTED AND THE GUILT IS HORRIBLE.

  • I am going to be honest. I used to shoplift. I was homeless.. I had a job, but that would pay for my gas and food. I was couch hopping, and keeping it a secret. My abusive, well off family still expected me to make appearances at family events and give gifts. Every time I asked them for money in the past they told me to get a job. -even with three jobs I couldn’t pay for anything.- they were never happy with the things I gave them. They always wanted more. Now I have cut out my family and I’m working and going to school. Stealing isn’t something I do anymore.

  • I used to be a member of this community. It is motivated by greed pure and simple, and the “rush” you get. It’s mainly teenage girls. I was ignorant at the time and truly thought I was hurting corporations, not blue collar workers. Also, posting about your crimes online adds another layer of stupidity to this community lol. I was an idiot back then!

  • I'm pretty sure that chick was only feeling better because she was dancing to Lana Del Rey...

  • @6:40 This one is like the Dexter of 'lifters'
